MANSFIELD AND DISTRICT – 7 DAYS TO THURSDAY 25th January 2018. (Sent on behalf of Mansfield District Commander Nick Butler).

 

Crimes reported over the past 7 days, 12:00 18th January 2017 – 12:00 25th January.

 

Only those areas with reported crimes are listed.

 

Berry Hill

 

Burglary dwelling:

Overnight on Friday an attempt was made to enter a house on Berry Hill Lane. Offenders damaged a patio window, but entry was not gained.

 

In the early hours of Friday morning a house on Bird Street was entered through an unsecured door, a white IPhone 5 was taken from the kitchen.

 

Theft of a motor vehicle:

On Thursday 18th a white 125cc Suzuki motorcycle was stolen from outside an address on Ruby Way.

 

Overnight on Monday a Ford Transit van parked on Delamere Drive was stolen, the vehicle contained a number of tools. On the same night another Ford Transit van, parked on Berry Hill Road, was broken into by unknown means and a large number of tools stolen. There was also an attempt to enter a panel van parked on Forest Road, entry was not gained but a door handle was broken off in the attempt.

 

Criminal damage to a motor vehicle:

On Friday evening a group of youths on bicycles passed a car on Nottingham Road, one of the group hit the wing mirror of the car, breaking it off.

 

Church Warsop

 

Burglary other than dwelling:

Overnight on Wednesday an allotment on Carter Lane was entered after offenders broke off a lock, three chickens were stolen.

 

Criminal damage to a motor vehicle:

Overnight on Saturday tyres belonging to a car parked on Netherfield Lane were slashed.

 

Overnight on Wednesday the windscreen of a car parked on Laurel Avenue was smashed.

                                                                                           

Eakring

 

Burglary other than dwelling:

On the evening of Thursday 18th a resident of Hall Street disturbed a male, wearing a balaclava, who had entered a shed after removing the lock. Nothing was taken.

 

Theft from a motor vehicle:

On Wednesday morning a car parked outside an address on Bruntings Court was broken into after offenders smashed the rear passenger window. A white bag containing a stethoscope was taken.

 

Criminal damage to a motor vehicle:

Over the weekend the grill of a car parked on Mill Street was damaged, possibly by being kicked.

 

Overnight on Monday a light belonging to a vehicle parked on Racecourse Road was smashed.

 

Ladybrook

 

Criminal damage to a motor vehicle:

On Wednesday afternoon a car parked in a car park on Layton Avenue was dinted on the front wing, possibly by kicking.

 

Leeming

 

Theft of a motor vehicle:

On Tuesday evening a silver Ford Fiesta was stolen from outside a house on Warsop Road.

 

Lindhurst

 

Burglary dwelling:

 

Theft from a motor vehicle:

Overnight on Thursday 18th a van parked on Southwell Road East was broken into after the lock was removed. Joinery tools were stolen from the vehicle.

 

Pleasley Hill

 

Theft of a motor vehicle:

A white Ford Transit van was stolen from outside an address on Bagshaw Street overnight on Monday, the van contained a number of tools.

 

Criminal damage to a motor vehicle:

Overnight on Saturday two tyres belonging to a car parked on Mandalay Road were slashed.

 

Overnight on Sunday the rear window of a car parked on Yorke Street was smashed.

 

Portland

 

Burglary other than dwelling:

Overnight on Friday a unit on Abbey Industrial Park was broken into after offenders damaged the doors, a number of tools were stolen. 

 

Theft of a motor vehicle:

Overnight on Monday a Ford Transit van parked on Fisher Lane was stolen by unknown means, the van contained a number of tools.

 

Theft from a motor vehicle:

On the morning of Thursday 18th a van parked outside a shop on Baum’s Lane was broken into and a toolbox containing drills was taken, it is not known how offenders entered the vehicle.

 

Priory

 

Burglary dwelling:

On Saturday evening the front door of a house on Newcastle Street was forced open and offenders then broke open a cabinet and stole items from within.

 

Ravensdale

 

Criminal damage to a motor vehicle:

On either Thursday or Friday a car parked on Terrace Road was deliberately scratched along one side.

 

Sherwood

 

Burglary dwelling:

On Monday afternoon an offender entered a house on Jennison Street through an unlocked rear door. The resident disturbed the offender, a white male approx. 20 years, before anything was taken.

 

Town Centre

 

Burglary dwelling:

On Monday night a shop on Toothill Lane was broken into and a number of items taken. Two arrests were made after police stopped the offenders with the property in their car.

 

Burglary other than dwelling:

On Tuesday afternoon a male offender entered a shop on St. Peter’s retail park and stole a number of items. CCTV shows that while the offender was in the shop he entered the staff area at the rear of the store, nothing was stolen from that area.

 

Theft of a motor vehicle:

On Monday evening a driver pulled up outside a fast food venue on Leeming Street and entered the shop, leaving the keys in the ignition. An offender jumped into the car and drove away without realising that a child of 11years was on the back seat. The thief crashed the car in Derbyshire and ran away from the scene, the child was unhurt and a male was arrested.

 

Criminal damage to a motor vehicle:

On the evening of Thursday 18th a female in drink kicked a vehicle on Toothill Lane, causing damage. The female was arrested.

Did you witness handbag robbery?

Officers are appealing for information after a 25-year-old woman was punched in the face by a man who robbed her of her handbag.

She was walking along Nursery Street, Mansfield, when the man approached her from behind and grabbed the bag from her shoulder, causing it to snap, at around 6pm on Sunday 21 January 2018. The woman was dragged along as she tried to hold on to the bag, before being hit in the face.

Anyone who witnessed the robbery or has any information is asked to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111, quoting incident number 712 of 21 January 2018.
