Crime Report Hucknall and the Rural Villages for the week to Thursday 5 April 2018

Crimes reported over the past seven days.

 

Burglary Dwelling

At 1.30pm on Thursday 29 March in George Street, Hucknall, A Male who cold called at a house was admitted by a vulnerable owner.  Money was stolen from a wallet.

 

Between 6.30pm and 10.30pm on Monday 2 April in Watnall Road, Hucknall, an insecure house was entered via the kitchen door and keys and a wallet were stolen. A black BMW 1X car was taken from the driveway using the keys.

 

Between 7.00am on 29 March and 3.15pm on Sunday 1 April in the Brickyard, Hucknall, the rear door of a house was forced to gain entry and two Makita drills and a computer were stolen.

 

Burglary Other

Overnight Saturday 31 March to Sunday 1 April, St. Johns Church on Nottingham Road, Hucknall, glass in the main door was smashed to gain entry.  The church is undergoing restoration so it is not clear if anything has been stolen.

 

At around 3.50am on Sunday 1 April the Argos Store in Ashgate Road, Hucknall was broken into by forcing the front roller shutter to gain entry and the alarm was activated.  We do not know if anything was stolen.
 

Between 11.00am on Wednesday 28 and 7.15pm on Saturday 31 March The lock was cut off a side gate to gain access to the rear garden.  Two sheds were broken into and boxes and containers searched. Not believed anything was stolen.
 

Between 11.00pm on Friday 30 and 9.20am Saturday 31 March in Papplewick Lane, Hucknall, the padlocks on two sheds were forced. A Purple & Pink Yamaha motorbike was stolen.
 

Between 5.00pm on Thursday 29 and 11.30am on Saturday 31 March in Goodall Crescent, Hucknall, the padlocks were removed from a garage door and the door damaged. Nothing obvious was stolen.

 

Theft of motor vehicle

Between 11.25am and 11.30am on Wednesday 4 April in Derby Road, Kirkby-in-Ashfield a white Ford transit van was stolen from roadside when the driver was making a delivery.

 

Theft from motor vehicle

Between 4.00pm on Friday 23 and 8.00am Monday 26 March in Smeath Road, Underwood, a silver Ford transit van parked at the roadside was entered. A Husqvana Saw, Stihl saw and Makita drills with batteries were stolen.
 

Between 5.30pm on Friday 30 and 7.15am on Saturday 31 March in St. Marys Way Hucknall, two vans parked on a driveway were broken into by smashing the driver’s side windows.  A SatNav and power tools were stolen.

 

Between 8.00pm on Friday 30 and 10.00am on Saturday 31 March on Leen Valley Drive, Hucknall, the cab area of a White Vauxhall Vivaro van was entered by smashing a side window.  A battery operated drill was stolen.

 

Between midnight and 10.00am on Friday 30 March on Portland Road, Selston, an attempt was made to break into a Silver Renault Clio by smashing the rear window.  No access gained.

 

Theft

Between 7.30am and 7.45pm on Wednesday 4 April on Little Oak Drive, Sherwood Business Park, Annesley, a secured red Carerra Kraken mountain bike with special tyres inscribed "Schalbe" was stolen.

 

Between 8.30pm on Tuesday 3 and 8.00am on Wednesday 4 April in Polperro Way, Hucknall, two 2ft x 3ft fence panels were stolen from a back garden.

 

Between 8.30am and 5.30pm on Tuesday 3 April on Lakeland Drive, Hucknall, a ladies silver and red mountain bike secured to a post in the garden of a house was stolen.
