Crime Report Hucknall and the Rural Villages for the week to Thursday 30 January 2019

Crimes reported over the past seven days.

Burglary Dwelling
At some time on Saturday 26 January in Bestwood Road, Hucknall, someone entered a flat and cash was stolen.

Around 9.00am on Monday 28 January in Bestwood Road, Hucknall, a young female distracted the occupant and gained access to the property.  We do not know at this time if anything was stolen.

Around 12.20pm on Monday 28 January in Green Close, Hucknall, in another distraction burglary, cash was stolen from a purse.

At some time before 12.20pm on Monday 28 January in Bestwood Road, Hucknall, cash was stolen in a distraction burglary.

In all four incidents above elderly people were targeted.  In the last three a young female aged approx. 18 yrs. white, slim build and wearing a brown jacket knocked at the door claiming to need help as she was locked out.  Once in the property she distracted the occupant while taking money.

Please look after the wellbeing and security of any elderly or vulnerable neighbours living nearby.  Stress the importance of using security chains and not letting any strangers into their homes.

Burglary Other
At some time around Saturday 26 January in Main Road, Kirkby Woodhouse, an outbuilding was broken into. Two Mountain Bikes, one white and purple the second black and yellow, were stolen.

Between 5.00pm on Thursday 24 and 9.30am on Friday 25 January in Portland Road, Hucknall, a shed was broken into, nothing was stolen.

Theft of motor vehicle
Between 8.30am and 1.00pm on Wednesday 30 January in Railway Close, Hucknall, a white Kia Ceed was stolen.

Theft from motor vehicle
Overnight Thursday Friday 24/25 January in Bolsover Street, Hucknall, a purple Vauxhall Corsa parked on a driveway was entered and an iPad stolen.

At 2.20am on Monday 28 January in Main Road, Jacksdale, a white Ford Transit van was broken into and tools stolen.

Criminal Damage
Between 7.00pm on Friday 25 and 10.00am on Saturday 26 January in Skegby Road, Annesley Woodhouse, the rear window of a green Citroen Xsara Picasso was smashed.
